Been slacking away at home...

Dunno what's happening to the class... It's like distancing among some people... Wondering what happened.

Been hearing about pretentious people... No names just hearing that class has them. Wondering if Rifat's advice was too late...

My old friends are drifting apart too... maybe we no longer have a common point.

Forget about it! don't think too much Moo! Just be friends with everyone. Even if they ignore you so be it! Listen to Mom is best... "Rakan boleh berpisah, Rakan boleh dicari, Ianya lebih baik hubungan tak terpisah. Tapi kalau dah mengusaha dan tidak menjadi, biarkan lah... Ia sudah takdir."

Need to focus in class even if the ang moh look-and-sound-like Facilitator is a bore and not engaging. I want Shaun back!!! On the other hand, might as well give ang moh a chance cos going to be stuck with him as our facilitator for another 6 more weeks.

Oh ya, On Tuesday, Mom is so sweet! She bought me a whole punnet of strawberries!!!! Dad bought me mixed berries Meiji yogurt!!!

I realised, without yogurt, my toilet rounds is not normal!!!! Do I lack of gastronomic bacteria?!?!?

I cannot wait for Immunology module to start... It seems extremely interesting!!

Should I go with Moo(used among friends last year), Moon(I look like one...size wise), Muni(Asraf called me that) or Munirah(I love this best but not many can pronounce)?

Been having the signs and symptoms... back ache, upset tummy, chest pain, runny nose and sore throat... Been feeling lethargic too. Probably going on a 5 day mc soon( Fri, sat, sun, Mon and Tue)... haish... I am dying here but today I am in school !!!! Mom wanted me to go doctor but told her if tomorrow morning I am not getting better then I go to the $32 bucks per trip doctor... he is like the most expensive doctor ever!!! Why did I have to postponed my regular check up... If not I can just ask Dr. lau(or his sub cos Lau go re service) for flu med... haish....

Since the day school start, not only has the girls in class been talking about marriage... any topic about marriage... be it the cermony, banquet, gowns, make up and et cetera.... if anyone mentions about any of these, the topic will just continue to the person's DREAM wedding. Even other gal friends too have been talking about it.

I mean we are just 18, not the prime where we should be married.

Met Fishy on thursday... Gave her her bday prezzie!!! We had Dinner at Delifrance and Guess wht !!! I failed math while counting change!!! muahaha!!! That was hillarious!!! Fishy I still owe u a dollar from the Silat Entrance fee. Fishy, hopefully we'll go the same path after we graduate and head to Aussie together!!! Let's aim for Monash and go with our dreams that we had while in secondary school... To be a doctor in the future!!!

Yesterday, my cousin was here. Umairah and Irfan. They've grown taller!!! Irfan was addicted to my cookies!!! HAHA =D

Anyway, school gonna reopen tomorrow, monday. Microbi lab session and after school is Microbi UT!!!! I did not study or revise the past 2 wks!!! I've been watching DRAMAs, eating, pigging around and doing report!!! Guess WHAT!!! I gained 1.5 kg in 2 weeks ( plus water weight cos of period) haish I look so bloated!!! School pls start soon!! wanna play soccer and bball or even, if anyone willing to go with me, lets brisk walk and jog!!!!!

Yesterday(Tue) went out wif Arly =D bought 2 bks frm NUS Coop outlet at medical faculty. Then had lunch. I got fish and chips...boy was the serving huge should hv taken a pic... then went to kovan to naweera place...sorri dunno hw to spell urname... baked choco chip cookies there.

Note to self... never join any race(amazing or across the globe kind) wif Arly... hehe...

Gt hm arnd 9 20pm... hehe just mins after my curfew... thnk god tt dad wasn't angry or anything... juz worried. didn't get qned or interrogated. Last nite decided to bake cookies... So early dis morning arnd 9am, went to PRIME supermkt to get the ingredients. Didn't hv Hershey's choco so I gt choc chips, choco rice and cornflakes(to make me cookie crunchier =D)

I didn't measure anything I jus agaration ... like the sugar was 500g pkt so I poured 3/8 of it into the bowl, Added whole butter and batch 1 n 2 was total ... 2 eggs... batch 3 n 4 total 1 egg...haha

After creaming the butter sugar and egg, Added Milo flour (bought wrong type... Bought self raising) No catastrophe... only that batter was too soft... got mom to buy normal flour... added that in... after baking 1st tray... so the next couple of trays went well =D

Enjoyed myself thoroughly with Nad, Jiawei, Edmund, Kenvin and a bunch of other people. Took crazy pictures..Seet .JIAWEI, NAD! I want them!!!! hahah..

Camp was from Fri nite till Sun evening but I left on Sat Night after dinner. Enjoyed the game of tree and Squirrel, Cant remember how many times I landed between Jeremy and Wen Xuan... haha.. some one kicked me during the game jus to land between the trees. Bernice was rough. I almost injured my self. I landed between two trees nad and minnie. Bernice kept pushing me to get out and I almost landed on my chin. seesh.. its only agame.. why be mean? you jus nid to be quick.. hehe .. edmund and I landed at a pair of trees. But i sa quicker to land while edmund was scrambling haha!!!

Been Online most of the time on Saturday morning and whole of sunday. Saturday played Badminton with Ibrahim for an hour. spotted this cute bird. seems tamed. Deva, your friend was watching us playing the whole time!

Bought 2 bottle (glass) of vitasoy. Its so creamy and rich! and it only costs a doller a bottle.

Some pondering towards archery:

Missing those days where we were united and no segregation between us. Missing the days where practice was fun filled without much pressure. Missed the times where smiles and laughter were pure and not faked. Missing, is the joy when we met at the start of training. The feeling of belonging to one big family is no longer there, unlike the united-ness during pesta sukan 2008. Why can’t life be uncomplicated? Quitting after camp? Not sure either. From my year 1 archery camp, the separating line between seniors were so obvious. The trend of segregation will continue on as all committee members were train by the seniors whose batch was segregated.

School has been fun. Had a talk with a number of people regarding alot of people. Have to talk to dad before making any decision. Intending to go back to archery but there are conflicting emotions. Someone triggered my guilt, someone triggered my rational thinking and someone made me think of fun times we had. I don't know what to do yet. I was thinking of continuing with archery elsewhere if I no longer am in poly. I don't want to make any decisions now just want to go with the flow and see what happens.

I feel like some days I need some solo time.... just to be alone... think and do my own stuffs...

the whole family went to little india on sunday morning to buy belut (eel) from tekka market.

When we reached there, we realised that tekka market was under renovations and shifted to an open field nearby. But it started drizzelling so we went to eat chappati from one of the stalls. Then we went to Mustaffa centre. It's been ages since I went there. I found good deals on handbags and clothes so probably I'll go there end of this year to buy them :-)

Bik Mas & Cik Dillah treated us to Sakura on Saturday 4th april 2009. Went there with our cousins (Aliah, Ilham & my darling Umairah). Umairah is my partner in crime. It looked like we didn't stop eating but actually, we took food in small portions and shred them between us. we tried almost everything except for the raw food stuff. the deserts are the same as those at Clementi Sakura =)

Though it looked plain and simple, the bread was sweet & sour as well as chew-worthy. The toppings were chicken shreds in spices(curry i think) and sliced hotdogs. It's really-really delicious that I ate two slices(palm-sized).. Gonna eat more during breakfast :-0 It's cheap too.. about 80 cents a slice. Its spicy, sweet, sour and ultimately delicious that I'll buy for the next picnic guys :-0

BTW, dad is home... picked him up just now... would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the nurses that took care of him and put up with his tantrums with a smile. Especially to the nurse that looked like Mira Xie, my math facilitator ;-p (Believe it or not, I miss Mira Xie... she is the most supportive facilitator ever...though some times she confuses us while trying to explain to us)

Thanks to my friends that have supported me while dad underwent surgery and reminding me constantly to take care of my health while I take care of everyone.... I fulfilled that task till today and I just fell ultra sick ;-p my slight runny nose has turned to a full blown flu and I have to stay away from dad's sleeping area... You guys have been a constant caring support and pillar of prayers. Thanks to you that have included my dad in your prayers.

Probably I'll go for Wednesday and Saturday training starting next week, I guess...
Missing the feel of jerk of bow when arrow is released. Psychoed myself why should I return to training and not bother about the politics... Be friends with everyone...

Updates for Dad

Facts: He’s looking better, no yellow pallor, eye-bags disappearing. He got to do breathing exercise and rotating of feet as well as wriggling of toes and fingers when he is not sleeping.

Happenings: I’ve always viewed my dad as a huge, strong, indestructible man, a person whom everyone leans on to when in time of need. But seeing him on Thursday, 19^th February, totally changed my perspective of him. Somehow or other, maternal instincts just kicked in. When my aunt started yakking away about how our household and what-not, I saw my dad’s face like he was uncomfortable and didn’t want to hear anymore till he told his sister to stop attacking his wife verbally. (The way my aunts speak can be very harsh and hurtful.) Instead of prolonging the visit, I asked my aunt to leave with me to go home.

I am not trying to be ungrateful to all that she have done for us but, see here, this guy, your brother, my father, had just undergone a MAJOR surgery. Why bother his mind about things of the past? Why made him worry? He is suppose to concentrate on recovery!!!

Been applying lotion on his skin…I’s very dry and shiny…

Thank God that today, 21^st February, his younger brother, sister-in-law and nephew and his fiancée came. This man and his son, are the so called favourites of my dad, I can see the openness between this family and my dad. Dad was talkative and had a huge smile. He disturbs my cousin, his nephew, to the core! Something about “why isn’t he married from when my dad was well, till he is sick and now getting better”. It was all laughter today. Then we had to pushed my dad upwards a bit as he was sliding. It took my uncle, my cousin, mother and I to pushed dad upwards.

Dad ate more porridge today. But he did not touch the veggies as it did not look appetizing at all!

I’m going for an interview at Jurong East this coming Wednesday. Hope that I’ll get the job. Not sure about the pay though but it’s a day job.

February 14, A day forever etched in my mind....

In the wee hours of the morning at around 2.40am on February 14, we received a call. I was half concious and was irritated... In the end, Mom picked it up.I was half aware of the conversation I picked up bits and pieces of word and sentences, "hospital", "come now", "donor", Prepare for operation". That was when I realised that hospital called and that there was an available liver for Dad. I bolted up and sat on my bed, dazed. I was hoping that it wasn't like prior incident. I was praying and hoping that he would go through the surgery today and the organ is for him.

Mom and Dad went off at 3am. Anxiousness and hope was etched on Mom's face. But Dad was still the same old guy, he kidded a bit then told me to locked up and remembre to send Ibrahim for class. After they went I couldn't sleep so I tuned in to channel 5 and watchhed a really old show about bounty hunters. Nearing 4.30am, I went to bed, warning Yusoff (playing L4D) to wake me up at 6am.

Woke Ibrahim up, told him to shower... surprisingly he was very obliging... he showered then wore his clothes and ate breakfast. we kid about till 7.30 am then I sent him to school. I was feeling restless and I binged on food.

Mom came home around 11am with our lunch(which I binged on too) then she went off after Zuhur prayers. She came back at 3pm and told us that dad went up to OT to prepare for operation (like tests and stuff). Late at night, the phone rang again the doctor told mom that the surgery was a success and dad is in icu for recovery(his immunity is low at the moment to prevent organ rejection).

I really would like to thank the donor family for this gift of love by sharing their loved one so that others can live. Febrary 14 isn't just a commercial Valentine's day any more. It turly means love because I was afraid of losing my dad. I just realised that I really took him for granted

Arm still swollen but that didn't stopped me from having a good time today (0_<)V

I had a swell of a time today. Went to East Coast with Seet. Took 969 and the driver was so slow!!! He drove the bus extermely slowly. We took of at 9 going 10 from woodlands interchange. Reached parkway almost 11. Rented a bike (3hrs$6). Cycled from the shop till the "newly" opened area (inverted commas because it was opened the last time I cycled there which was last year sem 1 holidays, Last swam was in sec 4 i think...).

I don't feel any crazy emotions but I just realised that I got emotional without any apparent reasons. I can't believe JW n J saw me crying at bus stop on sat. I dunno what cause that sudden moment. All I knew I was listening to Proud remix version then tears start flowing.

Sorry JW... asked u accompany me but i went off to CWP on me own n u went hm on ur own... just wanted to b alone...

There's a lot on my mind that I pushed it deep and downwards so I won't think about them. but recently I'm feeling as if they are trying to slip out. I just cannot push them in anymore. It feels weird to try to even talk about it.

One of them is about money. I think our family cannot even support once dad stops work to go for operation. Dad is one stubborn man. I asked him if I can go and work he says no and starts spouting nonsense about "once you start working then bf then..." and those craps. Bro takes no care about the financial situation. he had a freakingly long holiday and he did not even go hunt for a job. all he did was to game infront of the pc 24/7. He is starting school soon and that's a relief.

I am worried on how the family going to survive maybe I am even selfish to think about myself and how I am going to survive if dad does not work. But I'm trying to be realistic here. We do not have huge amounts put away as a "nest". Heck We are surviving monthly per month salary that he brings home.

The surgery is going to cost a bomb and the post surgery medicines are going to cost his one month salary - $2k+. It'll be great if the company is willing to fork out half for the monthly medicine cost but where the hell are we going to fork out the othEr $1k+

When mom mentions it, I try to make a joke out of it and take it lightly but I am actually trying to avoid reality....this is happening... it is not some nightmare that I can wake up from. I really want to work to earn my own keep and try to lessen his burden but it is impossible if he has these weird accusations or implications toward me working.

Dad, I really hope that you'll think about it.

It just hits me that there is no point in early planning for any event or outing with friends. The trip to WWW was planned too early and now many are not going including me. I feel kind of guilty to seet because she invited me earlier. I guess this kind of outing is best left open invitation. just state time date and meet up point then whoever appears, they are the ones that will be going with us.

How to get to Sakura International Restaurant at Woodland park, Clementi?
Take bus service 96 from Clementi bus depot and drop off near Japanese school. Walk up the road uphill beside the school. Alternatively, take a cab from Clementi. Approximate cost about $5.65. Taking a cab from Dover should be cheaper as the restaurant lies nearer to NUS.

Tips.

Lunch: 12noon - 2.30pm. Dinner: 6pm - 9.30pm

We arrived at 5.45pm and thought that the place was abandoned >.<||| So stunned that we walked don to the kitchen ground. LQ goofy enough to ask the kitchen staff if it was okay to go in from kitchen . Pay before you enter so

Advice, take you first round in small potions of each food like mine then build up appetite.

Comments on choice of food (clockwise):
On the plate starting at 6 O'clock point,
Fried Tofu in vinegar chilli . Nice blend. Not salty or too oily.
Fried Dried tofu stuffed with fishball meat. Very common. Stuffings slightly salty. Can get this in yong tofu stall or NTUC.
Chicken meat deepfried with batter with lemon like gravy. Yummy
stirfried brocoli + mushroom + corn. Very crunchy and yummy.
Drink is fruittips blackcurrant drink.
Steamed Egg tofu with crab meat. Would taset better with a pinch of salt or a dash of light soy sauce.
"Sharkfin's soup" - Taste like maggi soup mix.

NEXT is what Jiawei took for us to try

Most of it at raw so I did not try them. I only tried raw salmon. its slimy and sweet but I concentrated not to puke because of the thought of eating raw food. LQ tried the semi raw octopus.

Durian puff - I love durian so this is my best and the stuffing is like pure durian
chocolate truffles cake - Chocolate is heavenly. Bitter and sweet equally mixed. dark chocolate can be tasted.
marble cheese cake - We LOVE cheese and this cheesecake is rich and creamy
oreo cheesecake - same with marble cheese cake
Brownie the cake isdry but chocolate is nice.
Mochi the greentea powder covering it destroys the taste.
Thousand layer - cake very common
Raspberry - dry cake and topping is raspberry jelly
Mint - cannot taste mint only smell egg on the icing. the cake is dry.
Ubi - Too sweet like it was soaked in sugar before frying.

Walking around

Returned back with loads of food again. Someone managed to empty bowels to consume more food again. I tried 2 Baked crustacean in a shell... the seashell species. Just YUMMY! These 2 couldn't wait to tuck in.

Our last meal was Dory fish and grilled salmon. I just love the crispy edges of grilled salmon and dory fish taste great with the salmon sauce.

Seet was okay this morning when I msn her ... usually she doesn't mind when I disturb her on MSN but what happened just now during 3rd meeting?

I MSN her why I cannot go training. And she sounded pissed. I also digged her to go training and her reply sounded sharp and pissed off...

Then she told me she will not be going Sakura tomorrow with Me, Jiawei, Deva, Li Qing and Edmund. Now she makes me wonder what happened. Why talk in codes and not go straight to the point and the reasonings?

When Deva called, and told her, she like telling me off. what happened?!? Am I misinterprating or are they unreasonable?

Life from secondary school and now are like very different. It's like lagi tua, kawan lagi kebudak-budakan.

Feeling sick to the core

Friday night, my throat was swollen and nose kept dripping. It was practically impossible to sleep but in the wee hours of the morning my nose cleared up. Okay so I caught about an hour or two of sleep before waking up to shower. Thought I could go training but it was impossible for me to even swallow my saliva - so how can I keep drinking water and eat food.

After showering, I went on-line and look up for ways to ease sore throat and reduce the swelling- guess what!?! - almost every site that I went to recommended hard candy, tongue stretching and gargling warm salt water. Felt like going doctor around noon but I was feeling better so I went to sleep. Woke up around 5pm with a throbbing headache, body feeling feverish and my mouth felt like someone poured super glue into it because it was irritated and my tongue was "stuck" to the side of my buccal cavity. Nose blocked and almost crying when I swollowed water. Went to Guardian around 8pm to go to the pharmacy and guess what ?!? there isn't a in house pharmacy any longer... all I could get was strepssils.
Of all lozzenges !!!

It's a warm night and initially I felt warm so I sore shorts and singlet to sleep but lo and be hold, I started shivering and felt chill to my bone. I grabbed my jackets and long pants and snuggled under the blanket but I was still shivering. How weird is that? Could not sleep and in any position I tried sleeping, it was uncomfortable. I had my upper body elevated then my neck felt cramped. again, I fell asleep in the wee hours of the morning. and to be rudely woken up by my mum not even half an hour later.

Okay so today is sunday and my sore throat isn't any better. Made cheng tng and barley drink for myself. Taste okay for a first timer. Not supposed to take any warm fluids or food as it'll only calm my throat for a moment then it will feel dry and scratchy.

Hm... wonder how I'm going to survive tomorrow...probably be visiting 3 houses (grandparents)with all those lovely spicy food on spread ... I'm digging my own grave :-(

woohoo!! got a phone T303 on Saturday =) It was a bundle offer....T330 and J120i plus a speaker and an umbrella (god knows why they included an umbrella) for $258... Kinda cheap though... Will be paying for the phone to Brother... Its so tiny like my MP4 player Its black and it looks sexy ( always wondered why people described phone as sexy... and now I know=P )

The functions itself has nothing to boast about . I guess... the look and feel of it makes me a proud owner=)

Today very suay...

Went for archery training. Early morning around 8 going 9 am reached sembawang CC.
Set up bow den go toilet do business ... took off my watch... forgot to retrieve it after leaving the cubicle. totally forgotten about it till around 11am... near break time...I rushed into toilet to find it but not there. I asked the CC and they informed the cleaner...

Haish no hope..

The watch is a blue baby g watch worn by Twins on the magazine of teens. Dad bought for me early this year... costs around $150... It meant alot to me... not just the price tag but its filled with memories...happy, sad, funny... I really treasured it. I rarely took it off unless I'm at home... but today it was really careless of me. $150 is a big chunk ... if it wasn't bought by dad, but by me, I wouldnt feel very pained other than monetary wise...Since it was bought by him I know how much he have to sacrifice just to get me something...

Now I'm feeling very guilty and irritated... To make me feel worse, he did not preached or nagged at me for losing it but he has the kind of look on his face like disappointed mixed with disbelief ... I feel like he now lable me as irresponsible... but I know he doesn't... I just wish he said something or even scream at me.

Seet won't talk to me and when I asks what's wrong, she just say "nothing" ... I'll let it go but I know under the "nothing", something is brewing. I want Seet to tell me when she needs a listening ear. I'm the type that I'm there and if you need me just holler. If you don't tell me that you want to talk how am I suppose to know? So well, I'll just blog abot it and hopes she read it and knows what I'm thinking.

If you in a bad mood or goes off in a huff, don't expect me to chase you and tell you to calm down because I know that you might not appreciate it if someone disturbs you when you want to be alone. I do feel like that at times. So I know what it feels like. I'm also the type that If I don't like what's happening, I'll immediately tell you. So If you are not happy with something or fustrated, for that matter, say something, anything. Just don't go off in a huff and left the rest of them feeling as if they are at all at fault. I know you are like that but what would a new person in the group thinks?

Girl, I read your blog. I don't know why you keep saying things like drifting apart. I admit, I feel hurt and want an explanation. To me, I would give the person some personal space to breathe I hope you don't feel that I'm avoiding you. Regarding the matter on the SMS about not going to school together - well, I got it and acknowledge it. I didn't expect you wanted me to reply with an affirmitive "Kaes" to you so I didn't. I admit, that was my fault. Okay, about the part where you say you hate letting others know about your emotions, why not drop hints so I know where the direction you are heading in.

About the early morning silence when walking, I find it kind of easy because knowing that you are there. I never felt the need to talk early in the morning with you because I've seen you walking to school silently and I thought you might appreciate the morning without my usual chatter. I also thought that you might want to be alone when you appear with a black cloud hangign over you head. I did ask if anything happen and you again said "nothing". Since we had a chat on how you would like to be left alone, so I gave you space. when reached school or the following day, I'll ask about it and if again you said "nothing", I didn't broach the subject again.

I tried my hardest to accomodate to you. I find that I relax and have fun when I'm in your company. I enjoy chatting with you. If you feel that I'm just another "passing friend" that's where you are wrong. I want our friendship to last and it takes two parties to make it work.

Fishy had cellulitis when we were in sec 2 ATC camp on the last day. He hand was bitten by an insect and it was immediately infected during the night. I should have know dad's condition and n ot write it off as an allergic reaction or side effects of a medication

I knew the symptoms well yet I was ignorant of it...If I wasn't ignorant, my dad would not have suffered so much...He would have been admitted immediately on saturday morning.

Cellulitis was staring at me in the face...

I was even ignorant of the early symptoms like nausea and vomiting - I thought it was just a reaction the the strong painkiller.

When I reached home from archery, I should have paid attention that his condition was worse and should have gone to doctor. He had developed fever... I was slightly concerned but I went to the wedding. He looked slightly better when I got home around 9.45pm.

On Sunday morning, he looked better but his leg condition was worse. Accompany mom and him to the hospital. Only when the doc mentioned cellulitis did it ring a bell... I really regret not realising his medical conditioned sooner or I would have carted him off to the hospital on Friday night. My ignorance led to my dad not treated for 1 and a half day.

Now he is probably spending up to 4 days in the hospital. Treatment on antibiotics starts tonight I think as he was on NaCl solution through IV just now.

Rushed home from archery training... took 169 from SCC at 4.30pm. I reached home at 5.45pm. Showered and went out for 1st wedding at around 6.20pm
